The Rocky Mountain AAPM Spring meeting will be held on the University of New Mexico at the Domenici Health Sciences Center, May 18, 2019.  The meeting will feature our second Medical Physics Investigator Slam with the winner receiving funds towards a trip to the national AAPM meeting to compete against other regional winners. We are excited to welcome Dr. Lei Xing from Stanford University to present regarding Artificial Intelligence and its application in our field. Additionally, we will have several presentations from our hosts at the University of New Mexico Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics program, chapter members, and vendor sponsors.

2019 Rocky Mountain MedPhys Slam

In our second MedPhys Slam, student, resident and junior members of the chapter attempted to summarize their own research in 3 minutes or less to a member outside our MedPhys community. Each was judged for the quality and clarity of their presentations as well as their ability to condense their complex material to a brief, simple explanation. We appreciate our participants taking the time from their studies for a chance to represent us at the National AAPM competition.

Congratulations to our regional winner Reza Alibazi-Behbahani from UC Denver! Reza will represent us at the national meeting, presenting against the other regional representatives.

Click on the presenters name to view their presentation (Reza’s will be withheld until the national meeting).
