MedPhys Slam

Welcome contestants! The AAPM MedPhys Slam is an opportunity for you to present your personal hard work in a brief, 3-minute, presentation with the potential to represent your local chapter at the national meeting.

To be eligible for MedPhys Slam, you should be a student, resident, or junior member of the Rocky Mountain AAPM and must submit a video of a presentation summarizing your own work. The video will then be critiqued by several judges who are not familiar with medical physics. As medical physicists we are continuously working to improve our field with real implications for those outside our field, so here is a chance to practice boiling down your research into a brief summary that everyone can appreciate.

Presentations should be submitted prior to RMAAPM Spring Meeting and the winner will be announced at the meeting. You do not need to be present at the Spring Meeting to participate, judges will review video submissions online. The winner will be awarded the registration fee of AAPM summer meeting, travel and accommodation expenses (2 nights of hotel stay) to attend the national convention and represent the Rocky Mountain chapter!

Please RSVP below if you are interested in participating in MedPhys Slam. Any additional questions can be sent to our officers at 2023.rmc_officers@aapm.org. Below are the official rules and expectations of the slam. Good luck!
